Description

#2069 – A 1.97 x .875 x .9 -inch specimen of clear Quartz with light tan Siderite.  This specimen is from Crabtree Quarry, Wake County, North Carolina.  The quartz and siderite found at the Crabtree Quarry (also known as Nello Teer Crabtree Creek Quarry or Hanson Aggregates quarry) in Wake County, North Carolina, likely formed through hydrothermal activity within or in proximity to the metamorphosed granitic rocks and schists of the Crabtree terrane.
