Description

#1777 – A 2.56 x 1.18 x 1 -inch specimen of white/ light pink Calcite with Chlorite from Wake Stone Quarry from Moncure, North Carolina.  This specimen also fluoresces reddish pink under UV light.  The calcite and chlorite from the Wake Stone Quarry in Moncure, North Carolina, formed during the metamorphism and subsequent hydrothermal alteration of existing volcanic rocks within the Carolina Slate Belt.
